Which do you find more difficult, forgiving yourself or forgiving others?
For me, I think I struggle more with being able to forgive myself. I know this has played a huge role in my mental and physical health.

I think I’m quicker to forgive others because I hate bad feelings between people. That said, I probably still carry around some “guilt” that I haven’t forgiven myself for. Maybe it’s more that I wish I had done some things differently; but you can’t go backwards, so. …

Sometimes my conscience likes to beat me up for a few past transgressions, and I need to always remember that our Lord and Savior has forgiven me. This helps to right my thinking and keep my ship sailing more smoothly.

Yes, I am the same way. This is something I’ve been trying to teach the kids as well.
